One Erco 415CD Ercoupe, LQ-YYN (C/N 4864), served with the Policía de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (PBA) from 1949 to 1959. It was used mostly for liaison, patrol, highway search, transport and MEDEVAC functions. Indeed, this was the first aircraft to be used as part of the Operativo Sol, over the Ruta Nº 2 which runs between Buenos Aires and Mar del Plata, and which is very busy during the summer months.
