The first Cessna 206 to be used was a Super Skywagon. This aircraft was initially serialed LV-BAD on July 10, 1964 by a company named Lutax SRL and on November 8, 1972 it was bought by Mr. José Capozzo. Sometime in October 1977 it was captured while providing support to the Movimiento de Liberación Nacional Tupamaro (MLNT) leftist organisation. Taken under custody, it would be latter awarded to the Policía Federal Argentina by the Federal Judge Mr. Sarmiento. After the normal inspection it would be put into service charged with the normal mix of light transport, liaison and training duties, with the new government serial LQ-BAD. But, during a flight over El Palomar on August 18, 1981 it caught fire forcing its withdrawal from use. In the end on August 1982 it was officially withdrawn from use, with its civilian serial cancelled on September 14, 1982 after 490 hours of flight logged. This aircraft also used the next serials during its early life; N5383U, LV-PZE and LV-IHL.
The second Cessna 206 to be used was a Super Skylane. It was also captured, but during an anti narcotics operation, on January 19, 1993 near Santiago del Estero. This aircraft was originally serialed CP-1873 in the Bolivian civilian register. During December 1995 it was given to the custody of the Policía Federal Argentina by the Federal Judge Mr. Néstor Blondi.
