One FAMA/FMA I.A.50 Guaraní II was bought on December 3, 1970 through Contratación Directa Nº 279 for a couple of the bimotors directly with DINFIA. The first was to be delivered during 1971 and the second one during March 1972 and the contract included the usual training for the crew and maintenance personnel. For unknown reasons only one was ever received.

So, it was on August 13, 1971 that the Policía Federal Argentina received it first aircraft at Área Material Córdoba in the form of a FAMA/FMA I.A.50 Guaraní II with the LQ-JXN serial (C/N 003). This aircraft was a former Fuerza Aérea Argentina example where it used the T-111 serial.

The first pilots were Principal Marcelo Tarrio, Inspector Miguel Stazzone and the Subinspector Ricardo Dolino who received their pilot licenses on January 10, 1973, making their first operational flight with a crew composed only of personnel from the institution just 10 days after. This was an 8 hours flight from San Salvador de Jujuy to El Palomar.

This aircraft served until November 1980, and was sold back on June 18, 1981 to the Fuerza Aérea Argentina for US$ 300,000.00 receiving the serial T-123. Currently this aircraft is being used as training material by the Escuela de Educación Técnica Nº3 belonging to the IIª Brigada Aérea.
