Two Piper PA-28-181 Archer III, PA-102 (C/N 28-816096) and PA-103 (C/N 28-890169), are in service with the Prefectura Naval Argentina (PNA) to perform the basic fixed-wing pilot training by the Centro de Extensión Profesional Aeronaútica (CEPA) based at B.A. San Fernando. The pilot candidates fly some 110 hours on the Piper PA-28-181 Archer III, and the pilots chosen to fly helicopters are then sent to train on the Schweizer 300. Nominally they belong to the Escuadrilla de Alas Fijas (EAF) since they also perform some liaison missions.
